Job Description

The Accounts Executive/Accounts Assistant reports to the Accountant to support the finance department in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department. He/She covers duties such as work that is specific to accounts receivable, accounts payable, tax filing, data compilation, billing, payroll or other accounting tasks. He/She works specifically with accruals, fixed assets accounting or the monthly and yearly finalisation of accounts for audit purposes. He/She assists with the preparation of trial balance, basic financial statements and simple consolidated financial statements. He/She may be called on to participate in ad-hoc finance-related projects and systems testing when necessary.


Job Requirements

  • Accounts Payable functions include verifying supplier’s invoices, initiating payments, data entry and maintenance & reconciliation of creditors’ ledger.
  • Accounts Receivables function include AR aging, prepare AR reports & monitor cash balance.
  • Handle petty cash claims and reimbursement.
  • Monthly bank and accounts reconciliation.
  • Handling staff claims.
  • GST returns and ensure all transactions comply with IRAS’s regulations.
  • Liaise with auditors and preparing audit schedules.
  • Undertake instructions from Directors and Managers for the transactions & assignments given.
  • Manage full sets of accounts and ensure timely & accurate month end closing.
  • Other ad-hoc duties that being assigned by supervisor from time to time.
