As a sub-editor, you work fast and stay calm under pressure. You are willing to be rostered to work on shifts, weekends and public holidays. The payoff? The adrenaline rush from getting a ringside view as news events unfurl.

• Strong command of English, meticulous, an eye for accuracy and detail.

• Have a passion for news and a keen awareness of current affairs.

• Able to work independently while remaining a good team player.

• Have excellent editing and fact-checking skills.

• Demonstrate the ability to work efficiently and without errors in a fast-paced environment.

• Be passionate about the details of how content is presented in print and online to make it more engaging for audiences.

• Familiar with Search Engine Optimisation, Internet-friendly headlines and social media platforms.
