Assistant Manager/Manager, Comms & Content (Group Marketing)

Business function

Group Marketing Division is responsible for developing and executing effective marketing initiatives for SPH Media. We are looking for an individual with proven strategic storytelling and planning skills across channels and audiences to drive business, support team growth, and plan for the future. 

 

This is also a hands-on role where you will perform and manage SEO activities to improve SERP ranking and presentation. This ideal candidate will require collaboration and stakeholder management, a solid understanding of digital marketing performance metrics, and a proactive spirit.

Roles & responsibilities: 

  • Brand & communications planning and creation: Plan, create, and share our stories across our touchpoints and channels.
  • Content delivery insight and analysis: Ensure effective sharing of content by maximising performance of platforms such as our website and newsletter through analytics and SEO
  • Best practices: Work with marketing teams to develop writing/editing guidelines and implement SEO best practices  
  • Content management: Manage and maintain SPH website and other relevant channels, and constantly seek to innovate web experience through a mobile-first mindset, providing suggestions, feedback, and thoughts on UX/UI using analytics 
  • SEO: Monitor / analyse organic traffic performance, and provide keyword ranking and keyword competitiveness analysis of key websites with actionable insights regularly. Work with marketing teams and agency to develop writing/editing guidelines and implement SEO best practices  

 


Job Requirements

  • A university degree
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in branding & communications, content management and SEO
  • Proven writing and editing skills with a flair for storytelling and attention to detail paired with a strong knowledge of various communications channels
  • Working knowledge of tools such as Google Analytics, Wordpress, Emarysys. Experience with SEO tools (SEM Rush, BrightEdge, Moz) is a plus 
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages, such as CSS or HTML
  • Strong project management skills 
  • Experience engaging across stakeholders and borders
  • Organised, with a keen eye for detali
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision while meeting expectations and collaborating within a team
  • Experience in working in a cross-functional capacity within a dynamic, rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated capacity to communicate complex large-scale concepts clearly and simply
  • Working knowledge of web design principles, best practices, and content management platforms
