Job Description

Singapore's premier business daily, The Business Times (BT), is looking for enterprising reporters to join the growing banking and finance team. 
 
The successful candidates will get a front-row seat to developments in the financial sector. They will track the surging wealth in Asia, the gaining interest in personal finance and investing, and the new financial assets that have emerged amid the flush of liquidity. The reporters will flesh out as well how economic factors, market developments, and regulations reshape the competitive dynamics in the banking sector.
 
In joining BT's banking and finance team, you'll learn how to join the dots, write with clarity and authority, and build out the paper's incisive coverage on the financial sector.
 
The applicants should be quick at spotting trends and ready to seize business scoops. They should be driven by curiosity, and embrace a growth mindset.

Key Requirements
  • Relevant degree in Communications, Business, Finance, or any relevant fields
  • Sharp news sense
  • Fluent in written and spoken English. Familiarity with an Asian language is a plus
  • Comfortable with working both independently and collaboratively
  • Committed to learning, and adapting to new ways to tell a story better
