We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual with magazine journalism experience to join our dynamic team as an Executive Editor.

The Job

• Draw strategic and business Plans for the year ahead together with Editor-in-Chief to ensure the masthead and its extensions continue to meet reader and advertiser needs
• Work closely with Sales to conceptualise and execute creative buys and mock-ups
• Plan, conceptualise and edit marketing collaterals for events and other promotional activities while ensuring collaterals remain on-brand with the masthead
• Work in tandem with sales on client servicing and support
• Manage overall budget for print, digital, extensions and creative projects
• Ensure the monthly digital issue rolls-out on e-magazine platforms 
• Host client events where needed.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in print and digital magazine journalism, with experience in video creation.
• A solid understanding of SEO techniques, user experience and web accessibility. Experience in using social media and various monitoring tools (such as Google Analytics), including a strategic understanding of best practices in this area.
• Superior organisational and time management skills, ability to multi-task and manage projects, priorities and tight deadlines. Manage a team of creatives/journalists and engage the entire editorial team to actively participate and produce quality content for website and all social media platforms.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to achieve company goals.
• Strong analytical skills, with a solid knowledge of and ability to use website and Google Analytics to optimize attraction, retention, and revenue goals.
