Job Description

This position provides support to the Information Management Office.

Main Responsibilities:

  • The Computer Systems Analyst is responsible for the design, development, testing, and implementation of the Embassy's applications and intranet web presence.
  • Provides technical assistance and support for queries and issues related to post developed application, development of new applications, and SharePoint support for more than 300 customers and 21 agencies at the U.S. Mission in Singapore.
  • Provides user training and augment the rest of the IT support staff as needed. 

Job Requirements

  • College graduate with a BS in computer science, computer software engineering, information technology or host country equivalent, AND at least three (3) years of technical experience in Computer programming, including experience in managing software development lifecycles and methodologies such as analysis, design, development, quality assurance, deployment and release is required.

OR

  • At least two (2) years of college or university studies in any field or other equivalent post-secondary education, AND at least five (5) years of technical experience in Computer programming, including experience in managing software development lifecycles and methodologies such as analysis, design, development, quality assurance, deployment, and release. 
  • Fluent in (speaking/reading/writing) English is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of administrative duties for administering the latest Microsoft Windows Server, SharePoint, and Desktop operating systems. 
  • Advance knowledge in database design and development, Client/Server and Multi-tier architectures and Internet working operations and management; systems analysis/design techniques; telecommunications and management advisory services. 
  • Strong working knowledge of PowerApps, Power Automate, .NET, C#, Framework, AJAX, JavaScript, PHP, jQuery, XML, SharePoint API is required. 
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft environment. 
  • Familiar with the planning, migration and operations for both on-premises and cloud only SharePoint configurations. 
  • Experience developing SharePoint applications using PowerApps and Power Automate workflows, 
  • Experience using SharePoint reusable components, publishing sites, add-ins and Frameworks.
  • Must have the ability in building solutions on Microsoft's SharePoint and/or O365 development platform required. 
  • Ability to analyze user requirements, plan strategies and manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously. 
  • Ability to thoroughly document solutions via flow charts, commenting and instructional manuals (for users or systems staff).
  • Ability to research current technologies and design practices to develop solutions. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds consistently with or without a non-motorized lifting device. 
  • The ability to use social media and mobile platforms, photo and video sharing sites, podcast creation tools, and basic photo and video skills are required.
